Visual Aid | “Niggas in Paris” - Jay-Z & Kanye West (Unofficial FanVid)

In this day and age, its not uncommon to see fan videos far far far outclass their respective “official” counter parts. Like videos from the High 5 Collective, whose versatility and variety for their videos is beyond professional grade, its next level (they even got Frank Ocean to appear in one). Its a bit sad really, I used to be a huge fan of the Hype Williams + Kanye Pairing, but the NIP video they put out , while visually creative and interesting, the choice to go with concert footage at the end of the day was the wrong move. This is a song that for many people was THE pop song (let alone rap) of 2011, and the video that accompanied it was underwhelming to me.

But this, this really gets that larger than life feeling that you get when you hear this song. That infectious ignorance that for some reason made everyone forget about being in the back swing of an economic crisis, and the social revolutions happening all across the world. A song that can cross borders but for no explainable reason, brought to you by the two kingpins of the game.

The video you get here is by two French directors named  , who managed to get a Jay and Ye look a like stomping all over Paris in Godzilla fashion. The result is rewind inducing, trust youll be hittin that play like 3 times at least.
